One more reason not to be a ballet dancer, I guess--Especially if you're a woman. By the time you've turned thirty, you'll have various parts of your body (Notably ankles and spinal chord) starting to fall apart/snap/crack/generally require surgery, you'll be a chain smoker, and you'll be injecting yourself with neurotoxins before every performance. Wonderful.
Then again, there are a lot of drugs in medical use that are toxic (Like that antibiotic... What was it called... It's a cousin of penicillin. Developed in the late nineteenth century), so who knows.
